Federal Realty Investment Trust and Phase Zero Design have partnered on a number of diverse projects in and around Assembly Row. This project was to transform the former space of a national big-box retail space into a multi-tenant, mixed-use building. The space has been designed to accommodate a tenant mix ranging from research and development, corporate, and retail markets. By providing simple, but strikingly unique elements, an individualized persona has been developed for the property.

Design of the common areas revolves around modern-industrial. This decision was made to honor the history of the building, which—dating back to the late 1920s—originally serviced the automotive industry. As shown in the photos below, the design team has carefully selected finishes—like polished concrete floors with a monochromatic gray color palette—to support this vision.
