With roots in Homer, New York this spirited young Interior Designer earned her Bachelor’s in Interior Design from Rochester Institue of Technology. From there, she explored the private residential industry focused on Architecture and Interior Design for luxury homes. Here, she finetuned her REVIT and Rendering abilities before leaving to teach Interior Design to the next generation of creative professionals at North Carolina’s Apex High School.

There, she found inspiration in ‘getting back to basics,’ while having the ability to influence other young men and women to seek continued education and career opportunities within the A/E/C space.

Based out of our Cary, North Carolina office Tia Quick supports our Healthcare, Workplace, and Hospitality teams and is eager to continuously gain experience with new clients in new market sectors.

Describe your dream project.

My dream project would be working on a pediatric wing of a hospital creating a space that is fun and exciting for the kids that are there would be so rewarding. I also feel like there’s no limit to how creative you can be in these spaces, and that this creativity directly influences a patient’s healing journey.

Describe the moment you realized interior design was for you.

I was on a college tour with my older sister, and she was looking at the Architecture program. However, that professor wasn’t available so they decided to walk us through the Interior Design program. After hearing about and seeing the projects they were working on, I realized that this was the perfect fit for me. Allowing me to combine my love for both math and art!

How do you define the sucecess of a project?

When a client says “you understood exactly what I wanted,” that is the best reward. Working with them closely throughout a project’s process to understand their vision, and translate that into reality is priceless.
