Originally from Arlington, Massachusetts Bill ventured to Providence College for a Bachelor’s in Finance. Shortly after, he earned a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Boston Architectural College. After making a name for himself in Boston’s A/E/C space working on renowned projects like the Blackfan: Center for Life Science Research building in the city’s Longwood Medical District and the St. Gobain R&D Campus in Northborough, MA he set his sights on the south. Setting up shop in the Raleigh, North Carolina area around 2016 he continued to perfect his craft in the state’s capital collaborating with clients like Duke Health and UNC Health.

With a background in education, finance, and design Bill Chase brings an invaluable perspective to our team. At the helm of continued growth and development for our Cary, North Carolina office it is his knack for relationship building, community outreach, project management, and mentor-based-leadership that make him the best man for the job.

Bill is focused on playing an active role in our versatile and vibrant Healthcare practice group while bringing more Life Science experience to our firm as he expands Phase Zero Design’s efforts throughout the Southeast.

Describe your dream project.

It would of course have to start with the dream team. One where everyone is absolutely committed to a common goal. I tend to gravitate toward life science and healthcare projects. These industries inspire me because I feel like you can’t get any more important than saving people’s lives, making them comfortable, and working as a team to make this world a better place.

How do you put a client’s goals before your own in a project?

I have an expertise in architecture. The client has an expertise in their institution, how it works, and how it best succeeds. My goal is always to facilitate a project process using the client’s own vision, goals, and expertise to create a better space for them.

What makes you most proud about being a Phase Zero Design employee?

The people. We have a great leadership team that carries an immensely passionate, positive group. I enjoy fighting the good fight with them, daily. The firm is the perfect balance between established and growing, and I am excited to be a part of its continued evolution.
