Hailey is a creative thinker who loves to find design solutions for functional, long-lasting, beautiful spaces while keeping the end user in mind. She is passionate about great design and continues to explore this passion in various outlets. She believes that every process of design is equally important as the outcome.

What is the most important tool of your trade, and why?

Design renderings are an amazing tool to represent design intention. I still believe that the MOST important tools of the trade are still physical samples. They are so important to see and feel true color, texture and scale of a material.

Describe your dream project.

Designing on an unlimited budget – this has to be every designer’s dream!

Describe the moment you realized [architecture/interior design] was for you.

When I was young, a family friend was building their home, and I spent almost every weekend with them. I remember seeing the plans for the first time and thinking how cool it was. Then, running through the framing and seeing the whole house come together just like the plans had shown. I was amazed at the process, and I think seeing this really engaged me to want to learn more about Architecture.

How do you define the success of a project?

A successful project results in a happy client. Being able to WOW them initially is such an incredible feeling, and then seeing their happiness at the end of a project. Makes it feel like you made someone’s dreams come to reality!

When not working, you can find me:

Hanging out with my two dogs at home while I start too many different crafting projects. My favorite being calligraphy and handmade stationery. If you see me in the summer months, hopefully it will be on the beach relaxing in the sun!
