James Kimball

James R. Kimball, JR., AIA LinkedIn

A Registered Architect with over 25 years of professional experience, Jim is a proven leader in the retail design industry. Jim possesses a very thorough understanding of the dynamic relationship between the consumer, the developer and the retailer and readily applies this knowledge for the benefit of his clients and projects. Jim is also an expert in retail store design, prototype development and rollout programs. He gained this knowledge from managing planning and design for a number of retail organizations, including Kohl’s Department Stores, Casual Corner Group, ShopKo Stores and Filene’s Basement.

 

Jim is a thought leader and comments regularly on the trends and issues shaping the retail industry. He is also an active participant in many trade organizations and has held several public service positions including the Town of Duxbury Planning Board and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Advisory Board.

 

Jim is a graduate of the University of Detroit where he received a Bachelor of Architecture, cum laude and participated in the School of Architecture’s extension program in Firenze, Italia. He is NCARB certified and is licensed to practice architecture in 26 states including the District of Columbia.

 

Matthew Wittmer

Matthew D. Wittmer, AIA LEED AP LinkedIn

A registered architect and interior designer with over 17 years professional experience, Matthew has a solid history of successfully programming, designing and managing multiple-site retail development and mixed-use projects across the United States including overseeing retail roll-out programs for both national and international clients. Additionally, Matthew's design, project management and permitting/ entitlement experience includes overseeing a variety of corporate, educational, hospitality and assisted living residential projects for both public and private clients. Matthew possesses a collaborative leadership style and is exceptionally skilled at building effective and productive working relationships with clients, user groups and constants.

 

Matthew is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where he received a Bachelor of Architecture with University Honors, and later received his Masters in Business from the University of Hartford. Matthew sits of the Educational Committee Board for Connecticut's Construction Institute, is a practicing LEED Accredited Professional and is NCARB certified.
